Operating Principle: Being a Normally Closed (NC) valve, the internal pilot orifice remains closed when the system is de-energized. The main valve piston is pressed tightly against the seat by both the force of the return spring and the fluid pressure itself, effectively isolating the media. When the electromagnetic coil receives an electrical signal, it generates a robust magnetic field that instantly lifts the plunger, opening the pilot orifice. The fluid pressure inside the upper piston cavity is released immediately through this pilot hole, establishing a severe pressure differential across the piston. The upstream fluid pressure overcomes the combined force of the spring and piston weight, pushing the main piston upward to the fully open state. Once power is cut, the pilot orifice seals again, pressure rebuilds in the upper chamber, and the spring swiftly drives the piston downward to ensure tight shutoff.
